Rajputs and Maratha Arabians will be up against each other in the 15th match of the ongoing T10 League in Sharjah. The ball is rolling along quite smoothly in the tournament now and the tussle to qualify for the playoffs has begun. The Rajputs are a little bit under-cooked coming into this match as their previous game was washed out and they had lost to the Northern Warriors prior to that.

They had chased down the 96-run target in just four overs in the season opener courtesy Mohammad Shahzad‘s 16-ball 74. But they look a lot dependent on their top-order and have struggled to put the runs on the board. The same is the case with the Maratha Arabians. They managed to win only a solitary game in the first game and they lack consistency despite having some of the best shorter format players.

Pitch and Conditions

The pitch has started to slow down a bit with a plethora of matches being played continuously. After scaling the scores of over 120 consistently, the teams are huffing and puffing to 110 now and will have to pace their innings carefully. The conditions will be good for cricket as the temperatures are hovering in mid-20s in the evening with no possibility of rain.

Rajputs

Mohammad Shahzad and Brendon McCullum will open the innings with Rilee Rossouw and Laurie Evans in the midde-order. Evans looked good for his 38 in the rain-hit previous game and might bat at three based on the current form. Carlos Brathwaite and Ben Dunk can also tonk the ball a fair way but they won’t get many deliveries to do so if the top-four click. Sayed Shirad, Munaf Patel, Tymal Mills and Qais Ahmad form a decent bowling while Rohan Mustafa is the lone UAE player.

Maratha Arabians

Even the Arabians are propelled more often by their top two batsmen. Zazai and Hales can rip apart any bowling line-up with Brendon Taylor to bat at three. Rashid Khan will be most likely promoted to attack while Bravo and Faulkner also have the ability to make the difference in the last couple of overs. Apart from Rashid, the bowling attack is struggling a little bit. They will have to come up with more variations in order to beat the Rajputs.
