Kerala Knights began their title defence with a clinical win in the first game against Pakhtoons where they chased down 110 with ease. Kerala’s bowling was too good in the first game as the likes of Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Naveed and Sandeep Lamichhane collectively gave away only 40 runs in six overs. They will be up against Sindhis in their second game who are fresh off a thrashing from Rajputs. Sindhis failed to get going while batting first, managed to finish on 94/6.

The total was too less for Rajputs who chased it down in only four overs as Mohammad Shahzad hit a 16-ball 74 with six fours and eight sixes. The game was a forgettable one for the Rajputs as the lowest they conceded in an over was 20 runs in the first over bowled by Mohammad Nawaz. They will be hoping that the big-hitting all-rounders in their line-up can play an aggressive brand of cricket something they missed in the first game.

Match Details:

The fourth match of the T10 League will be played between Sindhis and Kerala Knights at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.

The match starts at 5:45 PM local time (1:45 PM GMT) (7:15 PM IST).

Pitch Condition/Report:

This game could be a high-scoring one if the batsmen play fearless brand of cricket and utilize the flatness of the Sharjah pitch and the moderate boundaries.

Squads:

Sindhis:

Shane Watson (C), Anton Devcich, Jofra Archer, Thisara Perera, Ben Cutting, Mohammad Nawaz, Dawid Malan, Fawad Ahmed, Isuru Udana, Denesh Ramdin, Samiullah Shenwari, Mohammad Irfan Jnr, Ahmed Raza, Ghulam Shabber, Pravin Tambe.

Kerala Knights:

Eoin Morgan (C), Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Sohail Tanvir, Paul Stirling, Sandeep Lamichhane, Tom Curran, Fabian Allen, Upul Tharanga, Imran Nazir, Benny Howell, Wayne Parnell, Reetinder Sodhi, Mohammad Naveed, Abdul Shakoor.

Probable XI:

Sindhis:

Shane Watson (C), Anton Devcich, Jofra Archer, Thisara Perera, Ben Cutting, Mohammad Nawaz, Dawid Malan, Fawad Ahmed, Isuru Udana, Denesh Ramdin, Ahmed Raza.

Kerala Knights:

Eoin Morgan (C), Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Sohail Tanvir, Paul Stirling, Sandeep Lamichhane, Tom Curran, Fabian Allen, Upul Tharanga/Imran Nazir/Benny Howell, Wayne Parnell, Mohammad Naveed.

Power Picks:

Morgan and Stirling showed their adaptability to this format of the game as the duo went restlessly after Pakhtoon on Wednesday. Sohail Tanvir managed to trouble the batsmen but failed to pick wickets as he did in the previous edition. Ben Cutting should bat in the top four and end up bowling at least over later on.

Best Playing XI:

Denesh Ramdin, Eoin Morgan, Shane Watson, Anton Devcich, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Sohail Tanvir, Paul Stirling, Sandeep Lamichhane, Isuru Udana, Mohammad Naveed.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Shane Watson was the only player from Sindhis to have got to double-digits. The skipper made a 20-ball 42 but lacked support from the other end. The game got over before he had a chance for rolling his arm. Morgan and Stirling can be among the other options for captain/vice-captain role given their vast success in the T10 League which they have carried on from the inaugural season.

Expert Advice:

In the T10 league, bowlers would be forced to contain batsmen and just stop the run flow. However, their value in a fantasy team is only if they pick wickets and not based on the economy. Thus the bowlers who have a chance of taking wickets should be given the first preference.

Probable Winners:

The defending Champions Kerala Knights could make it two wins in a row leaving Sindhis with two defeats in two games.
