Cricket isdescribed as a batsman&#8217;s game and rightly so because of the many advantages batsmen get in various facets of the game. From shorter boundary ropes to bigger bats, batsmen have it all. Even then it is said that good batsmen win you matches but good bowlers win you tournaments. Ever wondered why?

It&#8217;s because a batsman needs to be successful every time a bowler comes into bowl whereas a bowler needs to be lucky enough once to see the back of the batsman towards the dressing room. With the popularity of T20s increasing, cricket has become more biased towards the batsmen as people are excited by four and sixes and not by bowlers bowling dot balls and hitting the stumps.

With the ICC T20 World Cup starting on 17th October this year, and there will be world-class bowlers on display. They will look to outfox batsmen and try to get crucial wickets for their respective teams.

Here are top 8 teams and their bowling strength ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021:

8. Afghanistan

They have troubled the best of batsmen on good pitches but have even been smacked to all parts of the ground quite frequently. With the likes of mystery spinners like Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Noor Ahmad along with the smart operator Mohammad Nabi, the Afghan spin bowling attack is excellent. The massive problem is their fast bowling line-up. There is no fast bowler who can hit the mark consistently or can at least build pressure by bowling dot balls so that the spinners get the reward.

If UAE pitches don&#8217;t wear out and don&#8217;t start to turn, the bowling attack will have plenty of problems due to the lack of a good pacer. As a result, it may be possible for spinners to bowl in the powerplay and  death which is exactly what batsmen want. There is immense responsibility on the spin bowling unit, especially their captain Rashid Khan to spell some magic and cause certain upsets to spice things up in the T20 WC.

7. West Indies

With match winners filled in this squad, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/west-indies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">West Indies</a> are the favourites to win the T20 WC this year. But for that to happen, their bowling needs to support their six-hitting style of batting. Their bowling will be led by the highest wicket-taker in T20s, the Champion, DJ Bravo.

Their biggest strength is the fact that each player post number 4 in their batting order is quite handy with the ball. However, they don&#8217;t have a quality fast bowler to take wickets in the powerplay. The likes of Sheldon Cotrell and Jason Holder are in the mix but they tend to go for plenty of runs. Adding to that, if Hayden Walsh Jr doesn&#8217;t come good, then the spin department is an issue for them as well.

Their death bowling is sorted with DJ Bravo bowling those slow-off cutters and good yorkers and Andre Russell coming around the wicket and bowling at the seventh eighth stump line. They must include Sunil Narine in the squad to add the much-needed experience in the spin department as he is skilled to bowl during any phase of the match which will be much needed in the coming T20 WC.

6. England

A team that generally has one of the best bowling attacks in the world, Pakistan has quality fast bowlers with decent spinners in the mix. Their bowling line-up will be led by the man who according to some experts, has the potential to break all fast bowling records, Shaheen Afridi.

Bowling in the powerplay and the death overs won&#8217;t be an issue due to a plethora of fast bowlers to choose from. Bowlers like Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz and Haris Rauf have previously proved themselves at the international level. They also have a decent spin bowling lineup with Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Usman Qadir and Mohammad Hafeez in the mix.

However, apart from Usman Qadir&#8217;s recent form, there is no other spinner who looks deadly and others can be easily lined up by batsmen. With not the greatest batting lineup in the competition, Pakistan will rely on their bowling artillery to fire and take the lead to win their second T20 WC title.

4. Australia

The Aussies haven&#8217;t tasted success recently with losing 4-1 to the mighty West Indies and a humiliating 3-2 loss against Bangladesh. But don&#8217;t expect the same from a fully strengthened and motivated Aussie squad who will come hard at all teams during the T20 WC.

He will be super excited to play in the UAE as he was the highest wicket-taker (30) in last year&#8217;s IPL which was also held in the UAE.

His fellow teammate, Anrich Nortje also picked up 22 wickets in last year&#8217;s IPL. They were the reason why Delhi Capitals ended as the runners-up last IPL. They also have the current number 1 ranked T20I bowler, Tabraiz Shamsi who is in great form and is likely to end up on the highest wicket-taker list in this year&#8217;s T20 WC.

Lungi Ngidi is a good bowler who often goes for runs but has a knack for taking wickets frequently. The Proteas should include Chris Morris and Imran Tahir in their squad especially if they have a good IPL. Tahir and Shamsi can be a force to reckon with in the middle overs. Morris can fill the much-needed all-rounder spot who can tonk the ball and bowl during any phase of the match. If these changes are made, the Proteas are fully equipped to restrict the best teams in the world to a modest total in this year&#8217;s T20 WC.

2. New Zealand

New Zealand is a team that never looks as strong on paper as some of the marquee teams, yet manages to topple them quite often. Quality bowlers are extremely essential to the success of a team but it also requires a captain who knows when to use which bowlers and that is exactly where the Kiwis are second to none. Captain Kane&#8217;s bowling troops will be spearheaded by one of the swing bowlers in the world, Trent Boult.

New Zealand is a team that never looks as strong on paper as some of the marquee teams, yet manages to topple them quite often. Quality bowlers are extremely essential to the success of a team but it also requires a captain who knows when to use which bowlers and that is exactly where the Kiwis are second to none. Captain Kane’s bowling troops will be spearheaded by one of the swing bowlers in the world, Trent Boult.
&nbsp;<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/new-zealand/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Zealand</a> is the only team that has announced its 15 man squad for the T20 WC. Their pace bowling attack is well-rounded with Lockie Ferguson hitting hard lengths at speeds of over 145 km/h, Kyle Jamieson and Trent Boult bowling in the powerplay as well as death and Tim Southee keeping it simple with his accuracy with the new ball.&nbsp;
Talking about the spinners, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi, are the most experienced and probably will be playing all matches. Both are accurate and spin the ball which makes it difficult for the batsmen to take them on by stepping out of the crease. Todd Astle doesn’t have much international experience but he is exciting to watch as well. Expect the Kiwis to play well as a team and once again reach the knockout stages of an ICC event without breaking much sweat.

They probably look like the strongest team on paper and have the required firepower in all facets of the game to win their second T20 WC. Their bowling will be led by probably the best white-ball bowler in the world, Jasprit Bumrah.
Their bowling arsenal is such that it is ready for any opposition under any conditions. With fast bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami and T Natarajan, India have the best resources for the new ball as well as at the death. Spinners like Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy and Rahul Chahar can bamboozle the best of batsmen on most occasions.&nbsp;
One thing is crystal clear, there will be four quality bowlers playing all matches. Premier all-rounders namely Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya need to deliver with the ball as well. If this happens, don’t be surprised if India ends unbeaten throughout the tournament and Kohli opens his ICC Trophy Cabinet as captain with a bang.&nbsp;

Cricket isdescribed as a batsman&#8217;s game and rightly so because of the many advantages batsmen get in various facets of the game. From shorter boundary ropes to bigger bats, batsmen have it all. Even then it is said that good batsmen win you matches but good bowlers win you tournaments. Ever wondered why?
It&#8217;s because a batsman needs to be successful every time a bowler comes into bowl whereas a bowler needs to be lucky enough once to see the back of the batsman towards the dressing room. With the popularity of T20s increasing, cricket has become more biased towards the batsmen as people are excited by four and sixes and not by bowlers bowling dot balls and hitting the stumps.
With the ICC T20 World Cup starting on 17th October this year, and there will be world-class bowlers on display. They will look to outfox batsmen and try to get crucial wickets for their respective teams. 
<h3>Here are top 8 teams and their bowling strength ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021:</h3>
<h3>8. Afghanistan</h3>

They have troubled the best of batsmen on good pitches but have even been smacked to all parts of the ground quite frequently. This bowling attack is led by the current best white-ball spinner in the world, Rashid Khan.
With the likes of mystery spinners like Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Noor Ahmad along with the smart operator Mohammad Nabi, the Afghan spin bowling attack is excellent. The massive problem is their fast bowling line-up. There is no fast bowler who can hit the mark consistently or can at least build pressure by bowling dot balls so that the spinners get the reward. 
If UAE pitches don&#8217;t wear out and don&#8217;t start to turn, the bowling attack will have plenty of problems due to the lack of a good pacer. As a result, it may be possible for spinners to bowl in the powerplay and  death which is exactly what batsmen want. There is immense responsibility on the spin bowling unit, especially their captain Rashid Khan to spell some magic and cause certain upsets to spice things up in the T20 WC.
<h3>7. West Indies</h3>

With match winners filled in this squad, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/west-indies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">West Indies</a> are the favourites to win the T20 WC this year. But for that to happen, their bowling needs to support their six-hitting style of batting. Their bowling will be led by the highest wicket-taker in T20s, the Champion, DJ Bravo.
Their biggest strength is the fact that each player post number 4 in their batting order is quite handy with the ball. However, they don&#8217;t have a quality fast bowler to take wickets in the powerplay. The likes of Sheldon Cotrell and Jason Holder are in the mix but they tend to go for plenty of runs. Adding to that, if Hayden Walsh Jr doesn&#8217;t come good, then the spin department is an issue for them as well. 
Their death bowling is sorted with DJ Bravo bowling those slow-off cutters and good yorkers and Andre Russell coming around the wicket and bowling at the seventh eighth stump line. They must include Sunil Narine in the squad to add the much-needed experience in the spin department as he is skilled to bowl during any phase of the match which will be much needed in the coming T20 WC. 
<h3>6. England</h3>

A team that is known for its attacking mindset right from ball one with the bat and ball, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/england/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">England</a> has a good bowling attack but not as great as their batting. With the absence of their best white-ball bowler Jofra Archer, it is a void that is almost impossible to fill for Eoin Morgan. 
As a result, their bowling will be led by their highest wicket-taker in the current team, the wizard, Adil Rashid. The new ball bowling would be covered by the likes of Saqib Mahmood, Mark Wood and Sam Curran. This combination has variety in terms of the right-left angle as well as pace, with Mark Wood bowling over 145 km/h consistently. Their spin bowling unit also looks sorted with Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali and Matthew Parkinson in the mix and all of them have been in form for a while now.
However, the impact of Jofra Archer will be missed heavily in the death overs. Chris Jordan and Tom Curran lack consistency and are smashed quite often. If England are looking to win the WC, the equation is pretty straightforward. Chris Jordan, who is likely to play all matches, has to deliver at the death. 
<h3>5. Pakistan</h3>

A team that generally has one of the best bowling attacks in the world, Pakistan has quality fast bowlers with decent spinners in the mix. Their bowling line-up will be led by the man who according to some experts, has the potential to break all fast bowling records, Shaheen Afridi. 
Bowling in the powerplay and the death overs won&#8217;t be an issue due to a plethora of fast bowlers to choose from. Bowlers like Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz and Haris Rauf have previously proved themselves at the international level. They also have a decent spin bowling lineup with Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Usman Qadir and Mohammad Hafeez in the mix. 
However, apart from Usman Qadir&#8217;s recent form, there is no other spinner who looks deadly and others can be easily lined up by batsmen. With not the greatest batting lineup in the competition, Pakistan will rely on their bowling artillery to fire and take the lead to win their second T20 WC title.
<h3>4. Australia</h3>

With a traditionally pace-dominated attack, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/australia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Australia</a> is no different this time around as well. The pack of the three fast bowlers, namely Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood is so good that they are a no-brainer pick for them in all formats. The Aussie bowling attack will be led by a player who gives in 100% in each ball he bowls, Pat Cummins.
The supreme quality with the new ball in the powerplay and the death overs is assured by these fast bowlers. Adam Zampa, their current highest wicket-taker in T20Is will be an asset during the middle overs period to take wickets and choke batsmen for runs. Ashton Agar, who is currently the 7th ranked T20I bowler, will operate alongside Zampa but may not be as effective as he doesn&#8217;t look to spin the ball often.
All-rounders like Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis can chip in with some quiet overs. So, teams will look to target those particular four overs bowled by different players. The Aussies haven&#8217;t tasted success recently with losing 4-1 to the mighty West Indies and a humiliating 3-2 loss against Bangladesh. But don&#8217;t expect the same from a fully strengthened and motivated Aussie squad who will come hard at all teams during the T20 WC.

He will be super excited to play in the UAE as he was the highest wicket-taker (30) in last year&#8217;s IPL which was also held in the UAE. 
His fellow teammate, Anrich Nortje also picked up 22 wickets in last year&#8217;s IPL. They were the reason why Delhi Capitals ended as the runners-up last IPL. They also have the current number 1 ranked T20I bowler, Tabraiz Shamsi who is in great form and is likely to end up on the highest wicket-taker list in this year&#8217;s T20 WC.
Lungi Ngidi is a good bowler who often goes for runs but has a knack for taking wickets frequently. The Proteas should include Chris Morris and Imran Tahir in their squad especially if they have a good IPL. Tahir and Shamsi can be a force to reckon with in the middle overs. Morris can fill the much-needed all-rounder spot who can tonk the ball and bowl during any phase of the match. If these changes are made, the Proteas are fully equipped to restrict the best teams in the world to a modest total in this year&#8217;s T20 WC.
