England will play their 4th match of the Super 12 stages of the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup on 1st November 2021 against the Sri Lankan side. England have been on a roll in this tournament, have won all 3 matches that they have played, and are placed at the top of the points table in Group 1.

Eoin Morgan and his men decimated the Australian side with 8 wickets and 50 balls to spare in their previous encounter. On the other hand, Sri Lanka will enter this match after a loss to South Africa in their previous match. In this article, let us take a look at the Predicted playing XI of the England cricket team for this encounter.

Openers: Jason Roy and Jos Buttler

Both Jason Roy and Jos Buttler have been in good form in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Roy has scored 94 runs in the 3 innings that he has played in the competition, and has scored his runs at an excellent strike rate of close to 140.

On the other hand, Jos Buttler destroyed the Australian bowling attack in England’s previous rubber. The right-hander blasted a match-winning 71* off 32 deliveries to help his side past the finish line. If Roy and Buttler get off to a good start, then England will hold the upper hand over Sri Lanka.

Dawid Malan could only score 8 runs in England’s previous match against Australia and was dismissed by Ashton Agar. Jonny Bairstow played a useful cameo for the England side against their arch-rivals, scoring an unbeaten 11-ball 16*.

Eoin Morgan has batted only once in the entire tournament, and that was in England’s first match against the West Indies. He scored 7*in that rubber.

All Rounder: Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, and Chris Woakes

Liam Livingstone was economical with the ball in England’s previous match against Australia. The right-arm pacer gave away only 15 runs in his 4-over quota and scalped a wicket as well. Moeen Ali has performed well with the ball in this tournament and has picked up 4 wickets at a superb average of 8.75.

Chris Woakes was outstanding with the ball against the kangaroos, and picked up 2 wickets in his 4-over spell, and leaked 23 runs in the process.

Bowlers: Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, and Tymal Mills

Chris Jordan stood out with the ball against Australia. Jordan scalped 3 wickets in the 4 overs that he bowled, and gave away just 17 runs. Adil Rashid did a tidy job as well, and leaked runs at an economy rate of 4.75 per over, and picked up a solitary scalp in his spell. Tymal Mills was thrashed for 45 runs in his 4 overs against Australia and picked up 2 wickets.
