The Indian selectors may take a chance with the young Indian leg-spinning sensation Ravi Bishnoi. Ravi’s bowling is quite similar to the likes of Rashid Khan as he is fast in the air and has a deceptive googly. Bishnoi recently made his T20I debut for India against West Indies. He is fresh, new, and unseen by most of the batters in world cricket.

Bishnoi was a part of India’s squad for the 2020 U-19 World Cup. He did well in that tournament and the exposure to IPL bought the best out of him. The Lucknow Super Giants management backed him by picking him as one of their three retentions ahead of the 2022 IPL mega auction. He is an important block for the Lucknow-based franchise.

The 21-year-old has played four T20Is for India picking four wickets at an average of 27 and an economy rate of 6.75. He will get better with time. Bishnoi is India’s future and the selectors can look to grooming him so that he can execute results for the team. He is sharp, talented, and very promising, and will be interesting to see if the selectors go with him.
