Teams with most scores of 400 plus in ODIs: There was once a time in cricket when a score of 300 was considered to be untouchable in a chase. Nowadays, even 350 is chase able thanks to big bats, new hard balls and rules favoring batsmen. The first score of 400 was touched in 2006 and since then, the barrier has been breached 19 times.

England has scored above 400 in One Day International cricket for 3 times, the team which has been playing the game since its inception got its first 400-score against New Zealand at Birmingham. Multiple centuries from Joe Root and Jos Buttler, 104 and 129 respectively aided England in getting there and they ended with a score of 408-9 in their quota of 50-overs. The second time England went past 400-run mark was against Pakistan at Trentbridge. Opener Alex Hales registered the highest individual score ever by an English batsman. Whereas, Jos Buttler scored the fastest half-century by an English player. The third time against Australia in 2018.
