There’s no doubt about the stature of Sachin Tendulkar, who has been an iconic figure in the history of Indian cricket. The former cricketer has been a holder of a plethora of records, which are highly unlikely to be broken in the near future. The veteran retired in 2013, but even after four years following his retirement, the love and admiration for the Maestro haven’t diminished one bit.
The Master Blaster is celebrating his 45th birthday and quite expectantly, wishes have flooded in from every nook and corner. From Bollywood to the sports fraternity to the commoners, everyone showered him with accolades. He is currently the icon of the ICON of the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sachin Tendulkar- A legend forever
Tendulkar remains present in all of Mumbai’s games in the league and has been seen delivering his knowledge to the youngsters. Whenever he is shown on the big screen, giving interviews or sitting inside the dressing room or the dugout, the crowd at the Wankhede Stadium erupts in joy. Mumbai will play the Sunrisers today at the venue and the audience will again have the opportunity to see the legend.
Meanwhile, the birthday wishes have left Sachin in awe and subsequently, he took to Twitter and shared a message before leaving for the game. Here is what he said
“Hi Guys, Thank you for your birthday wishes. I know since last night past 12 am, the messages have been pouring in and it means a lot to me. Thank you so very much for all the good wishes. I’m getting ready to go to the stadium in some time. We get to the hotel and have a meeting and then go to the ground. So, look forward to seeing you there. Thank you once again for all the good wishes. Means a lot to me”
