Q. Yagyam Batra: Which Indian scored 1st ever run in T20 cricket and also took the 1st wicket?

A. Yuvraj Singh was the first Indian to score a run, take a catch and pick up a wicket in Twenty20 cricket. He did that in the inaugural Twenty20 Cup held in England in 2003. Yuvraj was the first Indian along with Mohammad Kaif to make debut in Twenty20 cricket. He played for Yorkshire while Kaif represented Derbyshire at Leeds on June 14, 2003. Yuvraj scored 44 and took a wicket while Kaif bagged a duck in that match.

The Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene decided to review the decision, it had to be overturned and brought an end to Sehwag’s inning.
