The inaugural edition of The Hundred was scheduled to take place in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic meant that it had to be postponed until 2021. The tournament is set to get underway on July 21 between the Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals women’s teams. On the very next day, the men’s team from both the clubs will cross swords at the Kennington Oval in London.

From there on, there will be doubleheaders. The draft for the upcoming edition took place on Tuesday, February 23 behind closed doors. On days of doubleheaders, the women’s teams will lock horns following which the men’s teams will be pitted against each other. The inaugural tournament won’t have a shortage of star-power by any stretch of the imagination.

The likes of Andre Russell, Eoin Morgan, Rashid Khan , Sophie Devine, and many others would be plying their trade in the tournament. Apart from the Kia Oval, the Lord’s, Headingley, Edgbaston, Trent Bridge, Rose Bowl, and Sophia Gardens will host the matches in The Hundred.
