Hogg’s career

The chinaman spinner played 7 Tests, 123 ODIs and 15 T20Is for Australia and picked 17, 156 and 7 wickets respectively. His T20 career flourished really late as his performances in the Big Bash League (BBL) for the Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers helped him earn a place in the Australian T20I squad.

Most modern-day batsmen don’t read wrist-spin and chinaman is that much more trickier form of bowling to pick. In his T20 career, Hogg also played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His T20 numbers are pretty impressive as he played 141 matches in the shortest form and managed to pick 140 wickets with an economy of 6.91 which is great for a spinner.
