Home quarantine during the Coronavirus pandemic has led to the cricketers with not much to do. The outbreak of the COVID-19 has forced most of the countries to go into lockdown. And this means that there is no cricketing activity across the world.
Probably for the first time in the last decade, no cricket is being played in the calendar year and the players have got a much-needed break from their otherwise hectic schedule. While some of them are using this time to spend with their families and interacting with social media, few cricketers are exploring a Chinese video-sharing social networking service, TikTok which has been trending over the last couple of years.
TikTok is a social media platform which allows the users to create videos recorded in 15 seconds or less and share them. It can also be used to express through singing, dancing, comedy and lip-syncing and the cricketers are loving it to the hilt.
Here we bring you 10 cricketers who have made their debut on TikTok:
1. Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal has turned out to be a sensation on TikTok. He is the most active Indian cricketer on it and clearly has got a hang of it now. He boasts of almost 4 million followers on TikTok and uploads some of the hilarious videos every now and then. Moreover, being stuck at home has led to him spending more time on the entertainment app.
Chahal has included almost everyone close to him in his videos thus far. His pet dog, his friends, Rohit Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed have all featured in the videos on his account. And the latest addition to it is his family. He has uploaded two-three videos with his family in which the members are seen dancing to the tunes. Chahal, by far, has been the most entertaining cricketer on TikTok.
2. Kevin Pietersen
Kevin Pietersen has been one of the best England cricketers ever. And even he couldn’t keep himself away from TikTok. He joined the popular social networking platform on the eve of the New Year 2020 and was thrilled to get him some amazing response to his first post. He was also roasted on Twitter for sharing his excitement on the same.
Pietersen has around 468 thousand followers at the moment and the count is going up with every passing day. He has posted around 37 videos until now. KP has turned to be conservationist after retiring from cricket apart from being a commentator and shares awareness videos most of the times.
