Top 10 Fastest Pakistani Bowlers To 50 Test Wickets: Yasir Shah, the Pakistan’s leg spinner became the fastest man from his country to pick 50 wickets in Test Cricket during the ongoing Test against Sri Lanka at P Sara Oval, Colombo.
Yasir Shah, playing in his 9th Test match made his debut in October last year against Australia. As a result, Yasir overhauled Waqar Younis, Shabbir Ahmed and Mohammad Asif who took 10 Test matches to complete 50 test wickets. He is now jointly the fastest Asian player to pick 50 Test wickets as he completed the mark in 9 tests, the same taken by Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
In terms of days taken to 50 wickets, Yasir Shah became the 5th fastest player as he completed the mark in 246 days with Vernon Philander topping the list by completing his first 50 test wickets in 135 days.
