Big Partnerships in batting effectively break the back of the opposition. Generally it requires one player to play the sheet anchor’s role while the other takes the game by the scruff of its neck. While building partnerships in the IPL the batters job might get a little tougher if the players are from different countries. But despite such constraints, shorter boundaries and flatter pitches have meant that here have been many big partnerships in the IPL.
Here we take a look at the Top 10 Highest Partnerships in the IPL.
10. Kumar Sangakkara and Cameron White (157):
The left-handed Sri Lankan great Sangakkara and Aussie all-rounder White together made 157 runs for the third wicket playing against the Pune Warriors in Cuttack. They achieved the feat for the Deccan Chargers in the 2012 season. While Sanga is all about timing, White represents power with composure. It is ironical that both of them are not playing in any IPL team now as they went unsold in the auctions.
