At present, David Warner is one of the elusive Australian batters who meritoriously bosses his position in all three formats. The left-handed opener is also one of those elusive names who has successfully transitioned himself from being an eruptive T20 batter to a steadfast Test match batsman.

It was back in 2008 when Warner had made his way out in international cricket via T20Is and now is one of the most experienced cricketers in the current batch of the Australian players.

Especially in the longest format where Warner has a profusion of runs, the southpaw has total played 86 matches and has scored 7311 runs at a commendable average of 48.1. His remarkable consistency against the red-ball has made him score second the most number of centuries (24) as a Test match opener for Australia.

Further, in the limited-overs format, Warner has played 128 ODIs and has 5455 runs at an impressive average of 45.08. The opener again has the second most number of centuries (18) amongst all the Australian players and was the fourth quickest to 5000 runs in ODIs.

In the T20Is where Warner was already an apt batsman, the left-hander has played 81 games and has scored 2265 runs at an average of 31.45. Overall, with being one of the elusive openers who has amassed tons of runs across all formats of the game, David Warner is definitely Australia’s most treasured current multi-format batsman.
