India and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s premier fast bowler in the last few years, Bhuvneshwar Kumar really started showing glimpses of what he’s capable of in the 2014 season, especially in the initial stage where his team had a few tough games but he maintained great figures. His figures read 3/19 in a game where Sunrises had conceded more than 190 showcasing his ability to bowl with a lot of discipline.
In the initial stages of his career, the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/chose-the-wrong-night-to-come-home-jofra-archers-backdated-tweet-goes-viral-after-pacer-was-ruled-out-for-manchester-test/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">pacer </a>primarily was a swing bowler. He, however, missed that extra pace which makes a bowler effective in limited-overs. While he had a good 2014 season, he pushed up his pace a bit and the results were evident as he turned out to be the highest wicket-taker in consecutive seasons of 2016 and 2017 picking up 23 and 26 wickets respectively.
His progress benefitted him personally as well all his teams because with that extra pace he had now transformed into a great death bowler as well. However, in recent times, Kumar has been in and out of cricket due to injuries, but will surely look to come back stronger.
There is hardly anyone with greater control over line and length in today&#8217;s times than Bhuvneshwar Kumar. SRH will be hoping he comes out all guns blazing after an extended break and performs for them in the spectacular manner as he has in the past and take advantage of the pitches which are sure to assist him.

<h3>2. Lasith Malinga: 8 wickets at an economy of 6.16</h3>

The highest wicket-taker of all time in the IPL, Lasith Malinga, has taken loads of wickets almost every season. It was no different in 2014 when he was at the peak of his prowess and picked a 4fer in the very first match of the season. Every match, he was economical and despite Mumbai’s abysmal run in the UAE leg where they lost all matches, he was a consistent performer.
Malinga, one of the legends of IPL has a total of 170 wickets across all seasons. He is capable enough to put the pitch out of the equation by bowling toe crushing yorkers. He has terrorized batsmen time and time again in the IPL and is also easily one of the most loved overseas players. Having played for <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/3-players-which-mumbai-indians-mi-produced-for-india/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mumbai Indians</a> (MI) since 2009, he has picked up more than 15 wickets in all seasons but one. He is today a seasoned campaigner, and although he has lost a significant amount of pace, he remains a vital player for the Mumbai Indians.
Come 2020, it could be one of the last seasons for Malinga whose performance has dipped in the last couple of seasons. He will, however, look forward to having a good time once again in the UAE and contribute as much as he can for the Mumbai Indians.

<h3>1. Sunil Narine: 9 wickets at an economy of 5.4</h3>

Sunil Narine, one of the most impactful cricketers in the IPL, started off brilliantly picking up 4 wickets in the opening match against MI and went on to pick 9 wickets at an unbelievable economy of just 5.4. He continued bamboozling the batsmen who had no answer to his mystery spin.
Narine’s debut for Kolkata Knight Riders (<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/asked-shah-rukh-khan-for-freedom-of-choice-in-kkr-didnt-happen-sourav-ganguly/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">KKR</a>) in 2012 was a turning point for them. He played a vital role in their title run in 2012 where he picked up 24 wickets and was the player of the series as well. He picked up in excess of 20 wickets for 3 consecutive seasons and ended the 2014 season with 21 wickets, another season which KKR won.
The place where Narine scores over other bowlers is that even when he isn’t picking up wickets, he is super economical and keeps building pressure on the batsmen. Over the last couple of seasons though, batsmen have started picking up his mystery spin and his returns have diminished. He has however added another dimension to his cricket by playing as a pinch hitter, scoring crucial runs at the top of the order at a phenomenal strike rate. He is easily one of the most utility T20 players.
KKR will be hoping for a repeat of his performances, and with the UAE pitches assisting him, Narine would be looking to regain his magic and providing crucial breakthroughs for his team as he has for a long time.
