Ruturaj Gaikwad, one of the two players who had tested COVID-19 positive, has finished his two-week quarantine and is understood to be asymptomatic.
However, the youngster will not be available for selection in CSK’s opening fixture against defending champions Mumbai Indians on September 19th.
After finishing his quarantine period, 23-year-old Gaikwad is yet to clear the two mandatory COVID-19 tests which will let him re-join the squad.

The crisis in Cricket South Africa (CSA) has worsened with time. CSA was struck with a severe blow after it was recently suspended by the Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee, a government body overlooking the broader sports in the country.
In the wake of the SASCOC takeover, Momentum, the ODI sponsor of the Proteas until 2021 decided to pull out of the contract.
The contract, worth the equivalent of USD 1.2 million a year, is set to expire at the end of next April.

Three members of the gang that murdered Suresh Raina’s family members in Punjab’s Pathankot, during a reported robbery, have been sent behind the bars.
On Wednesday, September 16, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh put forth the news and also declared the case as ‘solved’. Dinkar Gupta, the Punjab DGP, mentioned that the accused were part of the inter-state gang of robber-criminals.
11 other members of the gang has been identified, but they have been on the run. The senior cop said that efforts are being made to catch them as well.
