ICC postpones Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia due to COVID-19 pandemic

  • The COVID-19 debacle has disrupted all major sporting events across the world.
  • The pandemic has forced many cricket boards to push or cancel many global events.
  • ICC, in the wake of ongoing coronavirus pandemic, confirmed on Monday that the Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia 2020 has been postponed.

Reports: Australia tour of England to begin on September 4

  • Australia’s proposed bio-secure tour of England is likely commence on September 4. Both the teams are scheduled to play three T20Is and as many as One-Day Internationals.
  • Australia has already named a 26-man preliminary squad keeping the tour in mind which is expected to be officially finalised soon.
