Well, picking the top three players in RCB’s history is absolutely a no-brainer. Their former captain Virat Kohli is definitely still the most valuable player in the team. By giving a record number of appearances, King Kohli has played 222 games and has scored 6707 runs at an average of 37.46. Indeed whether the red army has failed badly or won, Virat is handsomely loved by the massive Bangalore crowd.

Perhaps after Virat’s presence, its renowned companion AB de Villiers has been the biggest pillar of the team. Whether it is about rewriting batting manuals or about grabbing breathtaking catches, ABD has been the biggest knight in RCB’s armour. The South African is also comprehensively the second-highest run-scorer amassing 4522 runs from 157 games.

However, while both Virat and ABD have been persistent heroes, there was a time when the Universe Boss used to outshine even them. During his peak from IPL 2011, Gayle undoubtedly was the best batter of the IPL’s history. In fact for the red army, the southpaw has been the third-highest scorer aggregating 3420 runs from his 91 innings. Indeed when all three of them used to play together, it used to be a six-hitting fiesta for the fans at Bangalore.
