Popular sports broadcasting channel Star Sports was at the receiving end of some criticism and heavy troll for the non-coverage of the on-going 3rd Test between England v Pakistan. The channel is facing a scheduling conflict and the match is not been broadcasted in India due to the upcoming Rio Olympics 2016.

The Sports channel has acquired the rights to telecast the grandest of all sporting events in the country which is why they wouldn’t be able to air the Test match. Viewers in India have no option to watch the game on the tube. Sky Sports, which is currently broadcasting the game in England, has no presence in India.

Many are not aware of the fact and sit without any clue about where to catch the live action. The reaction of it was visible on Twitter where fans outraged over the unavailability of the game.

Many mocked the channel in different ways criticising the scheduling problem. Sports broadcasting network has 25 channels under its umbrella including eight sports channels.

It has been an entertaining series so far. The first two games at Lord’s and Old Trafford saw contrasting outcomes. Pakistan won the first game stunningly and the hosts gave a crunchy reply in the second game.

After thumping Pakistan in the previous game, England back to their at their dominant form. Their batting which let them down in the opening test is back on track. For the Pakistanis, it was a tough reality check. But, with the series tied 1-1, they still have time to recover and deliver inspiring performance at Edgbaston and regain the lead in the series.
