Twitter Reactions: Another double hundred for Virat Kohli, another day of dominance by India
4 Min Read

Death, taxes and Virat Kohli’s form are the only certainties in life. Years are passing by, series keep happening one after the other and Kohli keeps getting better. The Indian captain scored his fourth double century today that too in the fourth consecutive series.
Day 2 belonged to the Indian batting mainly Kohli who established his authority over the bowlers who looked clueless against him. Beginning from their overnight score of 356/3, India scored a magnificent 121 runs in the first session. Ajinkya Rahane who was looking confident overnight completed his half century but failed to score a century.
Virat on the other hand, scored yet another double hundred before he was trapped in front of the stumps by Taijul Islam which would have been an interesting call if he had used the DRS and finally giving Bangladesh bowlers some respite.
Wriddhiman Saha who came back in the team replacing Parthiv Patel repaid the faith with a brilliant hundred. Coming at No.6, he batted with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja to make sure India crossed the 600-run mark. While Saha remained unbeaten on 106 Jadeja at the other end, also scored his fifty and went back at 60*.

The Indian bowlers had 14 overs in hand to have a go at the Bangladeshis, the new ball pair of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ishant Sharma couldn’t get a breakthrough and towards the end Virat brought in Umesh Yadav and Ashwin – the Vidarbha express drew the batsmen forward and was rewarded with the wicket of Soumya Sarkar who got a bottom edge and Saha took a great diving catch.
Twitter was quite entertained with yet another spectacular day for the Indian batsmen. Praises were sung over for Kohli, Rahane and Saha. On the other hand, Bangladesh were trolled for another poor day on the field. Mushfiqur was taken apart for missing an easy stumping. Here are some of the Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:

Meanwhile a very interesting contest on about who should bat at No 6. @Wriddhipops got it today & he has seized it. Good for the team.

For the first time, five out of top-6 Indian batsmen scored 80+ runs in a Test innings. Pak batsmen did it twice and NZ once. #IndvBan

A good innings by Rahane. Unfortunate to miss out on a hundred, but this innings will help his confidence ahead of Australia. #IndvBan
