Twitter Reactions: Pakistan crumble in huge chase

In what was a fantastic batting display by the Aussie team, they defeated Pakistan by 86 runs to seal the series 3-1 in their favour with one match still left. Earlier in the day, it was captain Steve Smith who won his fourth consecutive toss as the hosts elected to bat first and put runs on the board.
Australia kickstarted their innings in a splendid fashion as both openers Warner and Khawaja put up 92 runs for the first wicket. David Warner plundered the Pakistani bowling attack and went on to register his 12th ODI ton. Smith also scored a run a ball 49 before being trapped by Hasan Ali.
More was to follow after these two’s departure as Glenn Maxwell and Travis Head tore apart the bowlers. Scoring boundaries at will both made the run flow much easier for the home team. The Pakistani fielding also contributed a lot in their favour.
Head scored 51 off 36 balls with four maximums. On the other hand, Maxwell did even better with a scintillating 78 runs from 44 balls with 10 boundaries and a six. Australia went on to post a total of 353/6. For Pakistan, Hasan Ali was the only positive in their bowling line-up with figures of 5/52.

Pakistan though fought better than what was expected from them. While Azhar Ali got out in the second over, Sharjeel kept the scoreboard ticking and Pakistan’s hopes alive. He went on to hit an excellent 74 from 47 balls with 10 boundaries and 3 sixes.
However, once he got out, Pakistan’s batting struggled to score runs at a quick pace. Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal were terribly slow in a game where they were supposed to chase a total of 350 plus. This mounted a lot of pressure and the Australian bowlers took full advantage.
Pakistan got all out for 267 runs with more than 6 overs to spare. Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood were brilliant as they took three wickets each. Twitter applauded yet another fabulous knock by David Warner. Pakistani fielding was trolled and lambasted by their fans. Here are some of the amazing Twitter reactions that took place during the course of the game:

Malik and Akmal combined batted 84 balls and hit just two boundaries. Absolutely criminal when you are chasing 354. #AusvPak

If that was a Pak fielder it would have bounced off his teeth for a six…. #ausvpak
