Twitter Reactions: RCB register a comprehensive win in their opening game

RCB took on SRH and it was the opening game of the season for both the teams. SRH captain David Warner won the toss and elected to bowl first. On a batting track at the Chinnaswamy stadium, Hyderabad preferred to chase.

Chris Gayle, unfortunately, lost his wicket in the first over but AB de Villiers 82 (42) and Virat Kohli 75 (51) put up a fantastic display with the bat. They smashed bowlers all over the park and gave them a run for their money. The SRH bowlers had no answer to the counter attack by the RCB batsmen. They put up a magnanimous partnership of 157 runs in just 87 balls for the second wicket.

Later Sarfaraz Khan scored a wonderful cameo of 35 runs from 10 balls as RCB went on to score 227/4 at the end of 20 overs. Only Mustafizur Rahman put up a good show for SRH with the ball, he had figures of 2/26. Everyone else conceded at 9.5 or more as it was not quite a great day for the SRH bowlers.

On the other hand, Sunrisers lost Dhawan early but Warner played a swashbuckling innings of 58 from 25 balls. However, the SRH middle order struggled and failed to make any impact as the RCB won by a significant margin of 45 runs. For Bangalore Chahal and Watson got 2 wickets each.
