The Rajasthan Royals registered a thrilling final over win against the Chennai Super Kings in Jaipur. Chasing 176 for the win, the Royals found a very able anchor in Jos Buttler. Buttler ran out of partners but that did not let his spirits down. The English cricketer, who has picked up serious form in the recent four games, scored an unbeaten 95 to seal the game for Royals with 4 wickets in hand.
Earlier in the game, the Chennai Super Kings had won the toss and opted to bat first. The visitors lost Ambati Rayudu early in the innings with Jofra Archer striking for the Royals. Suresh Raina and Shane Watson then forged a handy 86 run stand to bring the Super Kings back in to the hunt. While Raina played his shots freely, Watson largely struggled to get going with the bat.
Watson’s resistance of 31 deliveries yielded 39 runs for his team. On the other hand, Raina hammered a sublime 52 off 35 balls with 6 fours and a six to his name. However, the two set batsmen perished in successive overs to put pressure on the lower middle order. MS Dhoni scored an unbeaten 33 (23) and Sam Billing chipped in with a 22-ball 27 to help Chennai Super Kings post 176/4 in their stipulated 20 overs after the middle overs slump.
In the run chase, the story for the Rajasthan Royals largely looked similar to what has been their story in the last few games. Jos Buttler continued his good form with the bat to score his fourth consecutive fifty. However, he found very little support from the other end. Sanju Samson showed brief resilience with his 22-ball 21.
Towards the end, Stuart Binny chipped in with a quick 22 and K Gowtham played a 4-ball gem to score 13. Eventually, Jos Buttler stayed calm and finished with an unbeaten 95 off just 60 deliveries with 11 fours and 2 sixes to win the game for his side.

Just In : "M S Dhoni is a great man, he knew he could put pressure on us if he chose to bowl first but he chose to bat first & gave us an opportunity to chase down & win this & gain some confidence, thanx to him, the boys are pumped up."

Just In: "We would have easily won if we had chased instead of batting first, I argued a lot but the owners were stuck with a decision to bat first tonight in the pre match meeting, I don't know what they wanted but it looks fishy & suspicious."
