Team India sealed the three-match T20I series on Sunday by winning the second game played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The visitors chased down 195-run mammoth target in the last over thriller thanks to a match-winning knock from Hardik Pandya. He slammed 42* off 22 balls while the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli also made significant contributions.

Earlier, Australia skipper Matthew Wade got the team off to a brilliant start but got out in a bizarre way. In the 8th over, he top-edged one with the ball lobbing up at covers where Kohli was fielding. It should’ve been an easy take but the Indian skipper dropped the catch much to the surprise of many. However, he managed to run Wade out after that.

This isn’t the first time on the tour that Virat Kohli dropped the catch and for the same reason, former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja expressed his concern about it. He hilariously took a jibe at the 32-year-old as well stating that he is more worried about the baby arriving rather than Indian team.

For the unversed, Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting a baby in January 2021 and the former is set to leave Australia tour midway after the first Test of the four-match series. Coming back to Jadeja’s comment, he said, “I am not worried about the Indian team but the baby arriving.”

Ajay Jadeja worried about drop catches

Analysing the possible reason for the Indian captain dropping an easy catch, Ajay Jadeja cited that Virat Kohli was off-balance while also felt that even the best players can have a bad day on the field. “Virat Kohli over the years we’ve seen he’s taken some exceptional catches.

“Today, I think he had time but he was off-balance when he was just about to catch it. And these things happen. When you start dropping them, even these dollies, then, the ball appears like a bomb coming towards you,” he said while speaking on Sony Ten Network in the mid-innings break. But his earlier comment was already trending on social media and Twitter wasn’t impressed even a bit with it.

Many felt that it was a cheap personal jibe at Virat Kohil from Jadeja while the others couldn’t spot the humour behind the comment made.
