India is currently playing a three-match ODI series versus England. In the first match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Eoin Morgan and Co slumped to a defeat by eight wickets. Kuldeep Yadav ripped the heart out of the English batting lineup with a six-wicket haul. He also owned a number of records. During the run chase, Rohit Sharma’s 18th ODI ton guided Virat Kohli and Co home.

In the second ODI at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground, England made a strong statement and won the match by a mammoth 86 runs. Joe Root piled on his 12th ODI century to help his team to a formidable score. The Men in Blue, during their run-chase, couldn’t get going and stumbled throughout their run chase. Kohli scored 120 runs in the two matches but didn’t look at his brutal best.

Kohli’s dismissal

In the third match, he scored 71 runs from 72 balls, which included eight boundaries. He notched his second fifty of the series, but couldn’t convert. He was dismissed by the spinners in the first two matches and it wasn’t any different this time around. Adil Rashid accounted for his wicket in Nottingham and Kohli fell prey to him yet another time.

Rashid churned out a full-length delivery. Surprisingly, Kohli went on to the back-foot, which was a wrong choice of stroke. He was cramped for room and tried to play the leather through the off-side. He played down the wrong line and saw his stumps go for a toss.

With four wickets down, the Men in Blue were in a precarious position and they needed Kohli to carry on. After the dismissal, Kohli stood there in utter bewilderment and couldn’t believe his luck. Meanwhile, Twitter was awestruck by the dismissal and they praised Rashid on the dismissal.
