Twitter trolls Virat Kohli for taking a picture with Harry Kane before Tottenham met Liverpool in the Champions League final

There’s absolutely no doubt that Virat Kohli is one of the most popular sportspersons in the world. Not only is he one of the best batsmen in the world but has been very well recognized by multiple stars from other sporting circles as well. At various junctures, Kohli has also shown his liking towards other sports as well. It’s no secret that the current Indian skipper is a big Cristiano Ronaldo supporter and fan.

He also loves following Tennis and is a big Roger Federer fan. In fact, the 20-time Grand Slam winner has met Kohli a few times, but it’s been mostly during Grand Slam events. Kohli has also had a few interactions with England footballer Harry Kane in the last couple of years.

However, the Indian captain has been often trolled as a big jinxer or a curser. During the FIFA World Cup which took place in Russia last year, Kohli revealed that he was supporting Germany. While extending his support for Germany in the FIFA World Cup last year had posted a picture of himself sporting a Germany jersey. However, Germany had one of their worst World Cup campaigns last year and Kohli was trolled for cursing the team.

Kohli Curse trends as Harry Kane’s Tottenham loses Champions League final

After a few tweets exchanged over the last couple of years, Harry Kane and Virat Kohli finally met. The English footballer had posted a picture along with the Indian skipper who arrived in England for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

However, a week later, Kohli has become subject to trolls as Tottenham lost the Champions League final to Liverpool. Tottenham had surprised everyone when they reached the final. Their spirited show in two tough games – quarterfinal and semi-final took them one step closer to their first ever European trophy.

However, they fell short and their dream run ended. Harry Kane was well under-par in the big final as his team went down 0-2. However, ever since Tottenham have lost the final, #KohliCurse has been trending. Fans have blamed Kohli for the loss as he met Harry Kane and jinxed it.
