The former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen was engaged in a heated banter recently with Mitchell Johnson on social media during the first Ashes Test. The series has sparked the war of words between the former cricketers immensely and it doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon. Pietersen even blocked Johnson after that and was furious over him. However, amidst all the heated talk, the former England batsman has been trolled on the social media after he posted a video of the bouncer hitting on his helmet.
Pietersen is currently covering the Ashes series in the commentary box and was pretty excited during the first Test at the Gabba in Brisbane. While the on-field contest was heating up, he was seen constantly seen supporting his team to bowl at the speeds of more than 140 kph. As it turned out, England wilted under pressure on the fourth day and eventually lost the game comfortably by 10 wickets.
Marks out of 10
Kevin Pietersen, on Wednesday, posted a video of him practicing in the nets, not sure whether it was from the archives or he was actually in the nets having few hits. He was hit by a nasty bouncer on the helmet in the video which he shared and urged his fans to rate the shot out of 10. He actually didn’t hit any shot and was severely hit by the ball and it looked as if he cheekily posted it on Twitter only to get trolled.
He captioned the video as, “Mark me out of 10 for this shot…? OUCH!” However, Twitter right away noticed his tweet and trolled him hilariously. While few of them reminded him of Johnson’s spell in 2013, many gave him zero marks for his shot. One of the users also took a dig on Piers Morgan who is always trending on Twitter for his witty tweets.
Here’s the video posted by Pietersen:
