Uganda Women have shattered the records in the shortest format of the game by scoring a massive 314 runs in 20 overs against Mali Women. The latter, however, was run-out after scoring 34 off just 18 deliveries. But there was no respite for Mali as Uganda’s skipper, the 20-year-old, Rita Musamali came out to stitch a whirlwind partnership with Alako.

While the duo managed to hit boundaries at will, Mali bowlers helped the opposition by bowling a plethora of wides and no-balls.

Both, Alako and Rita, of Uganda, managed to reach their respective tons by the time innings ended. While the former was dismissed on 116 off 71 deliveries with 15 fours in the final over of the innings, her partner remained unbeaten on 103 off 61 balls. Only a solitary six was hit in the entire innings and a massive 61 extras were conceded by the bowling team.

Mali Women, in response, were bundled out for just 10 runs in 11.1 overs with six of their batters registering a duck. Uganda Women registered the biggest win in T20 Internationals by 304 runs as five of their seven bowlers picked up at least a wicket.
