Karnataka clinched Vijay Hazare Trophy for the 3rd time all in the last five years after a convincing win over Saurashtra in the final. Mayank Agarwal’s dream run that started in November played a crucial part behind Karnataka’s victory as the opener scored 80+ in seven out of eight innings. The young pacers from Karnataka were crucial to their success in the absence of Vinay Kumar. The tournament witnessed Andhra qualifying for the semis for the first time with seven consecutive wins.

3 – Number of hundreds by Mayank Agarwal and Siddhesh Lad in this tournament which are the most for any player. Mayank seven scores of fifty and more are also the most for any player with no other scoring more than three fifty-plus scores.
7/40 – Tripura’s Abhijit Chakraborty recorded figures of 7/40 in his seven overs against Bengal in the group game. These are the best bowling figures in this edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
7 – The seven dismissals made by Goa’s Keenan Vaz in the game against Gujarat are the most by a wicket-keeper in a game in this tournament. These are also the joint most dismissals by an Indian keeper in a List A game. Vaz’s 15 dismissals in this tournament are also the most by any keeper.
23 – Number of wickets for Mohammed Siraj in this tournament which are the most for any player. His 23 wickets are the 2nd most in an edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy behind Vinay Kumar’s 28 wickets in 2013/14 season.
99 – Assam’s total of 99/10 against Baroda is the lowest score of the tournament and the only total below 100. Baroda’s total of 378/7 in the same game is the highest total of the tournament. The 279-run win for Baroda in the game is also the biggest win in terms of runs in Indian List A cricket.
169 – Hanuma Vihari’s 169 against Mumbai in the league stage is the highest individual score in this tournament. He struck 16 fours and seven sixes during his innings in Chennai.
192 – Number of balls Ravindra Jadeja bowled in this series without taking a wicket. Only four bowlers bowled more in a single edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy without taking a wicket. Jadeja bowled ten overs in each of the first three matches and two overs in the 4th game before suffering a side strain and didn’t bowl further in the tournament.
254 – The 254-run stand by the Andhra pair KS Bharat and Hanuma Vihari for the 2nd wicket against Mumbai is the highest partnership for any wicket in the tournament.
723 – Mayank Agarwal is the leading run-getter in this tournament with 723 runs which are 333 runs more than the 2nd best KS Bharat. Mayank holds the record for most by any player in a Vijay Hazare Trophy edition surpassing Dinesh Karthik’s 607 runs in 2016/17.
