Virat Kohli to arrive tomorrow, eight other players check-in at Kolkata
Ashwin, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane are scheduled to arrive tonight.
The next assignment for the Indian cricket team, which has been playing non-stop cricket, is to dominate and whitewash Sri Lanka in all formats of the game in their own backyard. India just came back from Sri Lanka after a full-fledged tour where India won all 9 games of the tour.
This time around Sri Lanka visits India to play 3 Tests, ODIs and T20I series. The first Test match is scheduled to be played at Eden Garden’s Kolkata. As a result, different batches of the members of the Indian Cricket team are all set to arrive until tomorrow.
The captain of the Indian team, Virat Kohli, is slated to arrive tomorrow. Meanwhile, eight players have already landed in Kolkata. India’s pace spearhead in Test was the first to arrive today along Shikhar Dhawan who made comeback into the Test side against Sri Lanka at Galle.
However, with his presence in the side, along with the return of Murali Vijay from injury has posed selection dilemma for the think tank and Virat Kohli. India now has three options by the names of KL Rahul, Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan, each raring to go.
Meanwhile, the coach of the Indian team, Ravi Shastri along with Ravichandran Ashwin, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane are scheduled to arrive tonight, according to the local manager.
“India skipper Virat Kohli will arrive tomorrow morning, while six other team members including Ravichandran Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane are slated to arrive tonight. Coach Ravi Shastri will also arrive tonight,” said the manager according to PTI.
