Virat Kohli congratulates Chris Gayle on fatherhood

Indian batsman Virat Kohli congratulated his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate on becoming a proud father. Virat and Chris Gayle are known to share great camaraderie both on and off the field and often interact on the social media.

Chris and his partner Natasha Berridge became parents as she gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday. He boarded an early flight to be with her. Gayle took to Instagram to announce the good news to the world. He named his baby girl ‘Blush’.

Soon after the news came out, good wishes came in for the big Jamaican. Virat Kohli wasn’t too far away either and soon posted a congratulatory message on his Facebook handle. He also mentioned that it would be a proud feeling being called ‘Uncle Virat’ by Gayle’s daughter. Kohli wrote, “Congratulations to this gem of a guy, Chris Gayle-SPARTAN and Natasha for being blessed with a baby girl. Many more blessings to the little one. Proud to be called ‘Uncle Virat’ by your angel Blush. ‪#‎GreatNews.”

Earlier this month, Chris Gayle had posted a pic with Virat Kohli after India’s defeat to West Indies in World T20 semi-final. The duo indeed share a great friendship off the field which is very heartening to see for all the fans.

Kohli the RCB skipper would be hoping that star batsman returns to the field soon and deliver the goods for the troubled side in the IPL. Royal Challengers Bangalore will next play Rising Pune Supergiants on April 22.
