The energy drinks brand Gatorade India uploaded a video on their social media pages which featured badminton star PV Sindhu and her coach Pullela Gopichand. It was to commemorate the occasion of Teachers’ Day. However, some of the people found an opportunity in it to insult Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli.

The Kohli vs Kumble saga in Indian cricket made breaking news for over a month. Speculations rose during the Champions Trophy that there was a rift between the captain and the coach. Soon after the tournament got over, Anil Kumble refused to reapply for the coaching job and resigned confirming the rumours that the team didn’t like his methods of coaching. Soon after, he was replaced by Ravi Shastri.

While there were negative comments, the positive ones outweighed them. People understood the message that was being portrayed in the video. It begins with Pusarla Sindhu saying that she hates her teacher and that all the scars she had received were due to him. She further reveals how he shouts at her.

However, the badminton star followed it up by saying that, this is how her coach fuels up her energy to never give up and makes her perform to full potential. This was a clever idea of presentation by Gatorade who portrayed the role of teachers in our life.

While the people who understood the message shared positive pleasantries, there were a number of those who started making fun of Kohli and taunted him for his breakdown with Kumble. It was quite unneeded and unreasonable to react in such a manner to the inspiring video.
