Virat Kohli’s rough patch in the game has continued more than anyone could have thought of and his most recent dismissal was a testimony to the same. Walking down to open up the order for RCB against RR, Kohli did give a lot of hope to his fans before it turned out to be another terrible show from his bat. In the same light of events, RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar opened up and added that Kohli’s dismal run is going to end really soon.

Bangar was of the opinion that the batting star has seen this kind of highs and lows earlier too and has the spirit of tackling every challenge thrown on his way. The head coach also believes that Kohli will help the side win crucial games ahead as he has observed him from close quarters.

“Regarding Kohli’s form, he’s a great cricketer. He’s experienced these highs and lows many times before. I’ve observed him from close quarters. He has the spirit and he’ll emerge from this run of low scores in the last few games. In the coming crucial games, he’ll help us win,” said Bangar as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Talking in terms of doing anything different with Kohli in order to prepare him well, Bangar stated that they haven’t thought of doing any change in his practice style. Moreover, the head coach lauded the former skipper for always going out of his comfort zone and carrying out a tough attitude to deal with all the challenges.

“We aren’t talking about anything different [in practice], to be honest. The way he prepares, he always puts himself out of his comfort zone and prepares and that’s his specialty. This is why he can emerge from tough situations and his attitude is commendable. Yes, he’s had a low run of scores but he is so mentally strong, he’ll be able to put in better performance,” he added.
