The cricketing fraternity is well aware of Virat Kohli’s abilities with the bat, and his knack of consistently surpassing milestones speaks for itself. Few however know that the superman from India can throw his arm for a couple of overs as well.

Virat is of course a part time bowler, who can sneak in with a tidy spell of medium pace bowling when the need arises. In fact, he was the man who struck off his very first ball during the all-important semi-final of the 2016 World T20. As it is, Virat bowling was a rare sight, and to add it, removing a set batsman off his first ball was even more surprising.

As though it wasn’t enough, the batting mainstay was trusted with the final over, which unfortunately for India, didn’t work out as they’d expected. Andre Russell took West Indies into the final with a massive six, and the rest is history for the Windies.

That sums up Kohli’s stint as a bowler, which hasn’t been all that bad to be honest. But with India’s opening Champions Trophy clash round the corner, he is looking to brew some special plans for neighbours Pakistan.

Ahead of the much-anticipated India-Pakistan encounter, the BCCI’s official Twitter handle posted a short clip of the skipper bowling in the nets. This time it wasn’t plain medium pace. Kohli, known to challenge himself on every front, took it upon himself to master the art of leg-spin as well.

The BCCI’s tweet had the following caption with it:

“New leggie in the house – @imVkohli. What say @ShaneWarne ?#INDvPAK #TeamIndia”

Upon analyzing the master batsman’s leg-spinners, he would certainly give the great Shane Warne a good run for his money. Kohli had an easy and comfortable approach to the crease, and delivered the ball with the typical leg-spinner’s loop. Is there anything this man can’t do?

Well, jokes aside, India are certainly preparing themselves for the young Pakistan leg-spinner Shahdab Khan who is pepped to make his Champions Trophy with the game. The preparations are done, the strategies have been set its time now for the action to unfold.
