Ross Taylor and Virender Sehwag are once again involved in a funny banter and the latter has managed to have the last laugh. The Kiwi player is in India for the limited overs series against the Men in Blue and will play their last match of the tour on Tuesday in Thiruvananthapuram which will host its maiden international game. New Zealand won the second T20I in Rajkot handsomely and made a stellar comeback in the series. However, Taylor took the point and tried to take a funny dig at Viru on social media but the Indian came up with the hilarious reply which left the fans in splits.

Sehwag had congratulated Taylor sarcastically a fortnight ago after playing a match-winning knock for his team at Wankhede in Mumbai. The New Zealander surprisingly came up with a reply in Hindi which is the national language of India and amazed everyone including the former cricketer. The conversation continued in a friendly way and obviously, Taylor caught the master of witty tweets off the guard and won the battle.

Sehwag had the last laugh

Ross Taylor has not been included in the playing XI so far in the T20I series and is enjoying his time off the field in India. During his free time in Rajkot, he decided to have more fun with Viru and posted a picture of him sitting in front of the shop of a tailor and wrote, “@virendersehwag #Rajkot mein match k baad, #darji (Tailor) Ki dukaan band. Agli silai #Trivandrum mein hogi… Zaroor Aana. #India #IndvNZ.”

Sehwag is never short of entertainment and came up with the funniest reply ever. He was impressed with the skills of Taylor speaking Hindi and asked the Indian Government if he could get the Aadhaar Card. (Aadhaar Card is the official identity of the Indian citizen and it is mandatory for them to have it if they live in India). He wrote, “ Highly impressed by you @RossLTaylor . @UIDAI , can he be eligible for an Aadhaar Card for such wonderful Hindi skills.” The official Twitter handle of Aadhaar also took the question in a funny way and replied, “Language no bar. Resident status is what matters.”

Here’s the thread of the funny banter:
