Middlesex continued with their impressive performances in the T20 Blast 2019 as they cruised to their 5th win in only seven matches. Their new inclusion AB de Villiers has smashed three fifties in this tournament including two in the previous two fixtures. Eoin Morgan stole the show on Thursday when he smashed a quick-fire fifty against Surrey at the Lord’s. Steven Finn claimed a 5-wicket haul while defending their total of 210.
They will now face Sussex on Friday at the County Ground in Hove. Sussex are the only side who have not lost a game in the South Group. The team led by Luke Wright has won five matches thus far while their game against Surrey ended in a Tie. Their opening match against Hampshire got abandoned. The success behind the Sussex team has been their bowling attack which is well backed by their batters.
The South Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 will be played between Sussex and Middlesex at the County Ground in Hove.
The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (11:30 PM IST) (6:00 PM GMT).
This game will be streamed live on Sussex County Cricket Club’s website.
The game between Sussex and Middlesex is under rain threat. About 50-60% chances of rain are predicted in the forecast for Friday evening. A shortened game is on cards unless a miracle.
The County Ground in Hove has been a good batting track but the results this season might not show the whole picture. Sussex’s bowling has restricted the teams batting first to a low total. They might struggle while defending due to the dew factor in the 2nd innings.

No player has scored as many runs as AB de Villiers scored in Twenty20s in 2019. He is expected to be top performer given his form alongside any Middlesex bowler. The likes of Nathan Sowter, Steven Finn, Toby Roland-Jones and Tom Helm have succeeded in taking wickets regularly.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Rashid Khan has had an interesting season. Despite being little expensive, he is picking up wickets every game and has done fairly with the bat as well. Laurie Evans returned to form with an unbeaten knock in the previous game.
