India is up against England on day five of the Lord’s Test and are trying their best to turn up the game in their favour. As India’s tail is up on the final day of the 2nd Test, bowlers are also putting in every bit of effort to push the team-up. In the same turn of events, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer came up with a hilarious meme to describe the situation.

While India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah was in the middle battling it out for visitors, he faced many deadly bouncers. One of those bouncers even hit his head and he was checked for a concussion. In the same sequence, Jaffer came with a meme that stated that English batsmen are requesting their bowlers not to trouble Bumrah much as they would have to bear the consequences later.

Talking about the game currently, Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are doing the job for India where India has collected a lead of 215 runs (at the time of writing). On day four of the Lord’s Test, Indian batters couldn’t do much and lost wickets in a row where Mark Wood turned to be lethal for visitors.

Virat Kohli fails yet again to shine for India

Indian skipper Virat Kohli failing to get going once again also became one of the talking points of the game. Many Big names even criticized Kohli for failing in his techniques. Former legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar also criticized him for not playing well against England.

“That method has been successful for him. He has got 8000 Test runs with that back and across the movement. But he is playing at deliveries way outside off stump and a little too early in the innings. This time around, the foot is somewhere else, the bat is somewhere else, which means that he hasn’t really played well. It could be about this much-talked-about word intent but in a five-day game, every batsman goes in to score runs. It’s the method that differs,” said Gavaskar while discussing the game.
