Cricket is no longer a sport, it is a celebration, it is about having fun on and off the field, making memories and creating moments for the fans as well. Working on a similar ideology was former Australian skipper Michael Clarke. He might have retired from the game but is still a part of the Australian contingent that has travelled to India.
Clarke is a part of the commentary team and is there to represent the views of the other side. After the first Test in Pune, both the teams have touched down in Bangalore and so has the unit of the broadcasters as well. With three days in hand before the match goes underway, Pup decided to have some fun and explore the streets of Bangalore. Foreigners for some reason absolutely love the tri-wheeled auto rickshaws that are quite a popular mode of transportation in India.
Here the 35-year-old didn’t just travel in it, but rather took lessons from the owner and took the driver’s seat. The onlookers had a great time a certain someone even ran with his mobile camera recording the scene as Clarke drove the auto. Others who didn’t even recognize the cricketer were fascinated at a foreigner driving an auto and had their mobile phones out trying to click images.
He has a relationship with the city; it was at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on the MG Road of Bangalore where in 2004 Clarke was awarded the baggy green and he became a Test cricketer. He went on to play 115 Tests for Australia and also captained the team on their previous tour though they didn’t have a great time then conceding the series to MS Dhoni & co. by the biggest margin 4-0.
