The eleventh edition of Indian Premier League has already witnessed much of the drama and excitement that surrounds the start of any huge tournament of this kind. With the usual proceedings in Auction, the league banks on some young Indian talent who were pocketed with Crores, to come good in this season. One of the most notable buys saw KL Rahul shift his base from his home team RCB to the Kings from North, Kings XI Punjab.

The stylish right-handed bat would also relish the opportunity to continue his stint with his Karnataka teammates in Karun Nair and Mayank Agarwal as the trio looks forward towards a successful season with their newest franchise in Kings XI. Rahul, who was the joint second costliest buy with Manish Pandey at the Auction and would be desperate to repay the faith shown in him by the franchise.

We bring in a lot of Camaraderie

The Karnataka born batsmen in his recent chat with Sportstar, was ecstatic to join the Kings’ squad along with his state-mates. KL, notably mentioned about what the duo brings to the table and the prospects that lie ahead for them given they have played together at such a young age and have come this far as cricketers. “It’s amazing that we have come so far. We all started playing junior cricket from U-13 days, we have grown up together, we played a lot of cricket together,” he said.

Reflecting on the bond that he shares with Karun and Mayank, “We bring in a lot of camaraderie and understanding”. He believes this as to be the opportunity to count on the experience of playing together for such a long and try to contribute to the team’s success in as many ways as possible.”Hopefully, we can carry that into the field and try to bring in smartness and win as many games as we can, “he told Sportstar.

If all goes well there even lies a possibility that can see the trio of Karnataka boys play together in the red for Punjab. “If Karun, Mayank and I play together, it will be helpful and exciting, “he concluded.
