The dream wedding of the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma recently took place in Tuscany. It was a destination wedding at a picturesque resort. As soon as the pictures started surfacing the media, the fans went gaga about the wedding and how beautifully it was planned. The Virushka wedding ended up setting some major relationship goals for the fans.

When seen from the outside world, it seems that everything has perspired like a fairy tale for the newly-wed couple. Moreover, the wedding itself is nothing short on being a dream wedding. However, some recent reports suggest that everything had not gone according to the plan for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. In fact, things did not go as planned for the wedding planners itself.

In an exclusive interview with BBC, award-winning wedding designer Devika Narain, who was key wedding planner of the ceremonies, recalled the moment went the planners were caught off guard. They had planned everything and had backups for all. However, they missed out on one key aspect. The forgot to take the weather into consideration.

Winter strikes

Devika narrated that the month of December falls during the winter season in Italy. Hence, on the wedding day, the planners woke up to see snow all around. Soon, by afternoon, the ice started dripping creating some problems for the organizers. They had to quickly shift the ceremonies from the outside courtyard to the indoor courtyard. Well, that would have been a serious task for sure.

“It is winters here (in Italy) and nobody gets married in the winters here. On the morning of the wedding day, we all woke up to a completely white landscape and the dew had frozen. And by noon, it was dripping. The outdoors function had to be moved to an indoor courtyard,” quoted Devika Narain.
