India Women would be hoping to continue their series winning spree in the ODI format as they face the West Indies Women in a 3-match ODI series starting on Friday. In only their 2nd bilateral tour of Caribbean Islands, India will play a 5-match T20I series after the completion of the ODI series. The West Indies Women are going through their toughest of times having registered huge defeats over the last couple of months even at home.

All the key stats and numbers that matter ahead of the ODI series between West Indies and India:

5 – India Women have won each of their last five series in the ODI format. This is the first time they have won five consecutive ODI series/tournaments. India’s series-winning streak began in April 2018 when they defeated England by 2-1 margin at home.


8 – West Indies Women have lost each of their last eight matches in ODI cricket; their joint-longest losing streak in this format. They lost the series against Pakistan in UAE at the start of the year by 1-2 margin after taking a 1-0 lead. They were whitewashed by England and Australia in June and September respectively. West Indies Women lost by 120+ runs on last five instances of bowling figures.


95 – Ekta Bisht has taken 95 wickets from 60 matches in the ODI format. Bisht will become the quickest player to 100 wickets in Women’s ODI cricket if she picks five wickets in the next three matches. Cathryn Fitzpatrick is the fastest as she needed 64 matches for 100 ODI wickets.


146 – Anisa Mohammed needs four more wickets to complete 150 scalps in the ODI format. She will become only the 4th player and first from West Indies to the milestone in Women’s ODI cricket.


616 – Mithali Raj is the only player with over 500 runs in the Women’s ODIs between India and West Indies. The Indian skipper has amassed 616 runs from 18 innings against the Caribbean team at an average of 51.33 with an unbeaten century and three fifties.


2000Smriti Mandhana is 49 runs away from completing 2000 ODI runs having scored 1951 runs from 50 matches. Punam Raut needs 119 runs also for reaching 2000 runs in the ODI format.


9835 – Mithali Raj needs 165 more runs to become the 2nd Woman with 10000 runs International cricket. The Indian skipper is also 192 runs away from becoming the first Woman with 7000 ODI runs while no Woman has even aggregated 6000 runs in this format.


2012 – Only once before the India Women have featured in an ODI series/tournament in the Caribbean islands. They faced the hosts in 2012 during a 3-match ODI series which they lost 1-2 after winning the first match.
