Rohit smashed a colossal 648 runs in just 9 innings and scored his runs at an average of 81.00, and a strike rate of close to 100. And more importantly, the right-handed opening batsman scored a staggering 5 centuries in the tournament as well.

During the encounter between India and West Indies in the 2019 World Cup, a group of Indian fans were chanting a song, labeling Rohit Sharma as sexy. ’10 Rs. ki Pepsi, Rohit Sharma sexy’, was the song that the Indian fans were singing, And to that, Mrs. Rohit could be seen smiling.

In the match against the West Indies, the ‘Hitman’ scored 18 off 23 deliveries at the top of the order for India. Virat Kohli was the talisman for the Indian side with the willow in hand against the ‘Men in Maroon’ and scored a sedate 72 off 82 deliveries. Veteran batsman MS Dhoni also chipped in with a handy 56 as well, as India posted a total of 268/7 in their allotted 50 overs.

In reply, the West Indian side was shot out for a paltry total of 143. Mohammed Shami was the star performer for the Virat Kohli-led Indian side with the ball in hand, picking up 4 wickets in the 6.2 overs that he bowled. Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal chipped in with 2 wickets apiece as well, as India thrashed their opponents by a margin of 125 runs. The Indian side bowed out of the 2019 World Cup in the semi-final stage, losing to New Zealand by a margin of 18 runs.
