The IPL 2020 auctions are done-and-dusted we finally have the final squads of each of the eight teams. This was, of course, a mini-auction with the franchises looking to plug the holes that have mired their set-up in previous seasons. And, almost all eyes were on the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore. Over the years, the RCB has flattered to deceive, to say the least.
Boasting of two of the greatest white-ball batsmen of all time, the RCB has often ended up having a beautiful body that is bereft of its soul. And, the soul is- That bowling unit. So, ahead of the auctions, all eyes were on Mike Hesson and Simon Katich as to which of the bowlers they’ll bid for the upcoming season. The management gobbled the services of veteran fast bowler Dale Steyn along with the likes of seam-bowling all-rounder Isuru Udana and Australia’s Kane Richardson.
So, will the Royal Challengers Bangalore finally win an IPL season? Dale Steyn thinks so! The former South African Test spearhead was involved in a Question-Answer session on Twitter where one of the fans asked him the burning question, “Will RCB win the upcoming season” Steyn was quick to reply where he said, “I’m there, so, yeah!”

Dale Steyn named Quinton de Kock as the best wicketkeeper-batsman
Steyn was quite active in his Question/Answer session with the fans. When one of the fans asked him as to who is the best wicketkeeper-batsman currently? The champion fast bowler was quick to name his compatriot and the captain of South Africa’s T20I side, Quinton de Kock. Steyn has earlier mentioned De Kock as one of his three favorite batsmen in the world alongside Virat Kohli and Mr 360 degree AB de Villiers.
Steyn will be one of the key weapons for Kohli in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The right-hander came in as an injury replacement of Nathan Coulter-Nile but could play only two games before getting ruled out due to injury. The right-handed bowler went unsold in the initial stage of the auction before being finally racked by the RCB. The former Test bowler has played 92 IPL games, in which he has taken 96 wickets at an average of 24.73.
QDK. The best.
