Of all the games in the last month or so, no other match is providing the fans as much entertainment as the matches between Windies and England are doing. The hosts drew the first blood as they stunned England in the Test series by winning it 2-1. Then, the ODI series went neck-in-neck and the teams had to settle for a draw (2-2) as one match in the series was washed out.

Now, the focus shifts to the shortest format of the game – a format that the Caribbean players rejoice. Asserting their dominance in the three-match series will be the only agenda for the home team. With some big players back in the mix, they are expected to be brutal. Yet, they cannot take the Brits lightly, for they have some of the best limited-overs players in their set-up. Just like the ODIs, this should also be a hard-fought contest as both the teams will hope to end this tour on a high.

Pitch and Conditions

The same pitch that was used for the fifth ODI will be used for this game. The ball is coming onto the bat nicely and Chris Gayle’s innings in that match will give you an idea about its behaviour. There is good carry and bounce through to the wicket-keeper and it could be a high-scoring affair.

Windies have a change in the leadership for this series. Jason Holder will take over from Carlos Brathwaite as Chris Gayle makes a comeback into the shortest format. Andre Russell has been ruled out for these three games. Windies might open with Shai Hope with Nicholas Pooran, Darren Bravo and Shimron Hetmyer to follow. Devendra Bishoo, Sheldon Cotrell and Oshane Thomas will be the three front-line bowlers.
