India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, on Monday (March 15) announced the news of his marriage to popular sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan. The India star tied the knot with Sanjana over the weekend. According to reports, the wedding was a private affair as less than two dozen people attended the function in Goa.

Bumrah’s announcement also brought an end to the speculation and the guessing game surrounding his wedding. The report of his wedding was doing the rounds ever since he was released by Team India last month just before the fourth Test against England. At first, the rumours linked the cricket star with South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaran before the reports were quashed by the latter’s mother.

But it did not take media and fans long to find out that Bumrah was going to tie the knot with Sanjana although the love birds kept the entire thing under the wraps just like their relationship. Talking about Sanjana, she is quite popular among cricket fans because of her connection with the game. She is a sports presenter and anchor.

Sanjana started her career as a model and then marked her television debut as a contestant in the seventh season of MTV Splitsvilla. Her journey as a sports presenter began in 2016 when she joined Star Sports. In the past, she hosted the IPL auction and also covered the 2019 World Cup in the United Kingdom.

Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan ended all the speculation surrounding their wedding by announcing it on their respective social media profiles. The newly-weds shared adorable pictures from their wedding with the caption:

“Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you,” Bumrah wrote on social media.

Bumrah and Sanjana have been bombarded with warm wishes and congratulatory messages from their friends and fans as soon as they confirmed their wedding. Present and former cricketers, as well as fans, took to Twitter to wish the newly-weds.
