Pakistan have racked up 340+ on every occasion in the recently concluded series against England. However, they have tended to struggle with the bat. They have always been criticised for not putting up the big scores. They will take heart from the fact that they could prove their critics wrong in the series against England.

Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam have been consistent while Fakhar Zaman has given Pakistan some good starts. But the problem starts in the middle with no power-hitters. Sarfaraz Ahmed, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik are all anchors and cannot go hard straightaway. Pakistan will hope the inclusion of Asif Ali adds some power in the middle-order.
