Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB W) defeated Delhi Capitals Women (DC W) by six wickets in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 final, held at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Vadodara, on February 5, 2026. With this victory, RCB W claimed their second WPL title, while DC W suffered their fourth defeat in a WPL final.
Apart from RCB W, Mumbai Indians Women are the only other team to have won the WPL title twice. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side lifted the trophy in 2023 and 2025, defeating Delhi Capitals Women by seven wickets in the inaugural edition and by eight wickets in the 2025 final.
RCB W had earlier won their maiden WPL title in 2024 under the leadership of Smriti Mandhana. That final was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, marking a historic moment for the franchise.
The Women’s Premier League began in 2023 and has since established itself as a premier women’s cricket competition. Five teams, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and UP Warriorz, compete each season for the coveted title.
The 2026 edition of the tournament was jointly hosted in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana finished the season as the Orange Cap winner with 377 runs, while Sophie Devine claimed the Purple Cap after taking 17 wickets during the campaign.
