Young chinaman Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav is making a name for himself in world cricket. In a world where there are not many chinaman spinners at the highest level, the trade that Kuldeep is trading in is certainly fetching him high rewards. Yadav, who made his international debut in the Dharamsala Test against Australia this year, is now becoming a regular face in the limited overs setup for India.

The team management are adopting the new strategy of playing two wrist spinners – Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav – in the lineup. They are being preferred over the experience of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Recently, as per the quotes in the Indian Express, Yadav remarked that the wrist spinners have better options to take wickets.

“Conventional spinners have only one or two variations but wrist spinners have the quality to deceive the batsmen. There’s more option to take wickets,” quoted Kuldeep Yadav. He further added that he is enjoying his time in the Indian time bowling with another wrist spinner.

“In the Ranji Trophy I played with PC bhai (Piyush Chawla) but never got many chances. It becomes a good experience to have two wrist spinners in the team, both are of attacking types and chances of taking wickets are more. There may be times when we will end up wicketless. We will grow series by series,” mentioned the chinaman.

On making Warner his bunny

In his short international career thus far, Kuldeep has managed to dismiss Warner on a couple of occasions. He had dismissed him in the Dharamsala Test and recently got the better of him in the first ODI too. Talking about this, Yadav mentioned that he likes bowling to Warner.

“I guess he (Warner) takes pressure while batting against me, and feels I can get him out anytime. It’s good that there’s no pressure on me and I enjoy bowling to him. I always feel to get him out and set my plans accordingly. I will try to get him out more,” conceded the 22-year old.
