The coronavirus outbreak has wreaked havoc across the world and the pandemic has led to more than 2.8 lakh deaths. At a time when the whole world has come to a standstill, cricketers are keeping themselves busy by trying out new things. Some cricketers are either resorting to social media while some are working out indoors to keep themselves fit during their quarantine period.

Regarded as one of the best modern-day batsmen, Steve Smith also indulged in something new during the quarantine. The right-handed batsman recently posted a video where he tried his hand at the latte art. In the clip shared by the Aussie stalwart, he can be seen to pour a fern design over his coffee.

“Cricketers and their latte art! Here u go mate, this is my attempt! Any feedback? @kane_s_w. Maybe we should stick to hitting balls,” Smith wrote as the caption.

‘A few more coffee net sessions for me’: Kane Williamson

As soon as Smith posted the video on his Instagram, he was flooded with comments lauding Smith’s skills. David Warner and Kane Williamson were also highly impressed by the latte art. Williamson said that he was not surprised to see the Australian star mastering the latte art as well.

“Haha bro I’m not surprised that you’ve mastered this too! A few more coffee net sessions for me,” Williamson wrote. Warner responded to the video, saying he is ‘not even trying to attempt’.

On Monday, Williamson had also shared a clip of his attempt at coffee art. The Kiwi skipper had received quite a few reactions from his good friends, including Steve Smith and Virat Kohli.

Smith is currently the No.1 ranked ICC Test batsman with 911 points, ahead of Virat Kohli who is at the second spot with 886 points. The Australian batsman was last seen in action against New Zealand in the first ODI of the three-match series. The series was subsequently called off in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.

Both Smith and Williamson were set to represent Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively in the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. However, the much-awaited IPL 2020 has been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak and currently, there’s much uncertainty over the resumption of sporting activities.
