Yuvraj Singh talks about street food, girls and fart

Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh who recently launched his fashion line YWC (YouWeCan) gave a small, but hilarious interview days ahead of the launch. In the interview with the Quint he talks about everything but cricket. What he would do back in the day with his squad. How often does he binge on street food? And shares some tips for the boys on impressing a girl.

Are you like us common people? He asked “I am a common man. Look you have beard (pointing towards the anchor) even I have beard. I though, have a smaller belly than you. You are wearing jeans I am wearing jeans. I am wearing a YWC T-shirt, you are wearing a Hakunamatata T-shirt.” Yuvi said quite unsure why he was being asked that.

The anchor interrupts Yuvi in between and asks when is the YWC coming? “It’s coming on the 3^rd of September so I am pretty excited about it.”

We boys love to hang around with our friends; we get together the entire squad and go off to any nearby place to chill. Where do you go? Yuvraj said, “When I was younger we would take out our bikes and go to hills Kasauli or any other place.”

Do you eat street food? “I would eat back in the day but I had a lot of issues with my body so I eat less, like once a month street food and try and concentrate on a healthy diet because I need to be fitter since I have to play a lot of cricket in the coming years.”

Do you also face gas (fart) issue like everyone else? “Yes, I do, a few accept it, some don’t but everyone faces the problem. The women also face it a lot but they always lie. (The girls in the background were laughing when he said that and Yuvi quickly pointed out towards them and said see they are all laughing)”

When you get up in the morning what is the first thing that Yuvraj Singh does? “Going for Fresh (laughs). In our Punjab team when the boys are coming out form the washroom and you ask them what were you doing inside? This is what they say, going for fresh.”

How to approach a girl? How did you approach a girl for the first time? “The first big mistake that boys commit is that they try to impress the girl and that is where they lose it. The more you show off in front of her, the more it puts her down. Even I have done that but have learned from the mistakes. Simplicity is the most important thing to impress a woman.” Yuvraj said.
